This idea came to me one afternoon a while ago, and I decided to just make it on the spot. I spent an hour thinking and analyzing the concept, then just shot in order.

The flame reflected on my face was originally going to be smoke rising offscreen. Unfortunately, the effect didn't quite work the way I wanted it to. The steam I was using as smoke was so thin that it didn't even show up on camera. I tried using a flash light to illuminate it, but it still didn't show. So I got creative. I realized that twiddling my fingers over the flashlight created a light that looked kind of like fire. So what you see on my face is the light from the flashlight that I'm holding just offscreen. Hopefully, this looks enough like flames that the audience knows what it is.
