January 3rd, 2010
Hello! I just uploaded another four videos to the site! The first two videos,
"How to Become a Fashion Photographer"
and "How to Train for a Triathlon",
were made for Howcast, a How-To website I work
for. I also uploaded the Fall 2008 and
Fall 2009 Commercials for the
Hofstra Filmmakers Club, both of which
I acted in (though they were produced by other
amazing people).
I also added a short credits list under each movie on the
Movies page. This way, you can see exactly who was
involved in a project immediately!
Enjoy! --Saib

Hello, again! Sorry for the long period between posts. Today, I'm uploading to
the site several videos that I've uploaded in the last year.
The
first
three are
performances of original songs by the ever-talented
Amy Syd. The last one is a
completely realistic Video Blog
I did for Hofstra's
Thursday Nite Live.
I hope you enjoy then all!

I've added two new videos onto the site. The first,
"Destination Runway", is an
online commercial for the
"Destination Runway"fashion show that will be taking place at
Hofstra University on December 8th.
The video was written and produced by
Hofstra's Film Club, and I was the
director of photography
on the shoot. The second video,
"STRAWBERRY MAN", is a short written and directed by
Noah Redfield, which I shot
and edited. I hope you enjoy them!
In a seperate matter, I'm eliminating my site's update schedule. The site will
continue to be updated as often as possible, but not having an official
schedule will allow me to continue figuring out my creative process. Figuring
out how to handle my creativity is one of the reasons why I started the site.
Be assured, however, that there will be an update very soon, as I currently have
about five videos in various stages of post-production that will be posted online
as soon as they're ready, which will probably be within a month. Until then,
best wishes.

I added links to David Beede and Chris Deluca's web pages onto the
"TNL Writer's Strike"
Credits Page,
but that's it for this update. I'll see you all next month!

A few minor updates today.
First, I've added pictures to the
Behind the Scenes Page
of Shallow End Inc.
I had always planned to have pictures in the middle of the Behind the Scenes
commentary, and just hadn't had the time to add them before now.
I also took this opportunity to correct some typos on the page that I had
previously missed.
The pages were starting to look a bit cramped with all of those images, so I
widdened all of the pages a bit more. Hopefully the pages aren't too wide. If
they are, please e-mail me.
Many people have been asking how to pronounce the name Saib, so I added a bit
of pronounciation trivia onto the
About Page. Hopefully, it'll help.
I've finally added a link to XKCD, one of my
favorite web comics, onto
the Links Page. Go check it out!
I also fixed a few bugs in the php script that runs the site.
There was one bug in the News Entries page
and another in the Title Bars on all of the pages. Both are now fixed, making
the site run that much smoother.
Thanks for returning to the site, and I'll see you all on June 1st!

Sorry, but there's no update today. I did have some minor uploads planned, but I
got snowballed by homework. So I'm moving the update back a little to May 13th.
I'll see you all then!

You may notice that, while my last update upgraded the site's graphics, this
update mostly upgrades the site's design. For example, the pages are a bit wider
to reflect that the site is getting bigger. The way the pages are named in the
address bar is slightly different (and I apologize to anyone who's linked
directly to anything other than the front page for the inconvenience of having to
relink). It used to be that all of the news entries would be displayed on the front page at once.
To make it easier for the page to load, I made it so the front page would only
display the latest three news entries. This will become helpful when there are
thousands of news entries, which would be a real pain for everyone to load all
at once every time they just want to look at the latest entry.
Finally, the movie pages have gone through a drastic
update. Each movie now contains a link to behind the scenes information on the
movie and the movie's credits. The
credits let you look to see exactly who did what, and also contains links to
each person's personal web page if you want to see more of that person's work.
The behind the scenes information contains, well, the movie's behind the scenes
information. These design revisions are all possible thanks to some major
revisions I've now made to the site's php. I won't
go into it all the details as to how I changed it right here, as that would bore
most of you, but the architechture
that runs the site is a lot more efficient, and at least ten times more awesome.
Of course, despite a large lack of graphical flourish's I'm sure you've noticed
the one new graphic I've added; my face onto this news post! I'm hoping to have
a new image of myself with each update. I didn't take a picture this time, so I
drew one. Hope you all like it!
As for the content that I've added today, I added some behind the scenes
commentary for "Shallow End Inc."
Hope you all enjoy!
There are also a few general site fixes that I've now made. For example,
"Shallow End Inc."'s logo used to
only having two curved corners instead of four.
Now there are the correct four. I fixed a typo on the
About page.
And I also added two more of my favorite sites onto the
Links page.
Finally, when I look over the past month, there are two events that must be
mentioned. First, I'd like to congratulate Avid
for
finally eliminating
Avid Xpress Pro, and putting all of their eggs in the basket called
Avid Media Composer,
thus reducing Media Composer's price to only $2500! Now all they need to do is
lower that price to about $1200 and create a
freeware Avid based
competitor to iMovie
that can at least do everything iMovie can. Then Avid will finally be ready to
comptete with Final Cut Studio on their home turf! And secondly, a massive
congratulations to the genesis of Hulu.com.
It's great that the studios have finally allowed their content to be easily
watched online. I was able to go and watch
Remington Steele for the
very first time, and we all know that
Firefly needs another avenue for people to support it through.
With that all said, I'm going to bed. I'll see you all on May 1st!

Sorry I'm so late with this update. I've now added two videos to the site! The first is "TNL Writer's Strike", which originally aired on Hofstra University's "Thursday Night Live". The second is "Shallow End Inc.", which was made in a group for Apple's 24 hour Insomina Film Festival. I've also updated the site a bit. Notice that the dates on this News Page are now bigger and bolder than before. I also made the tabs at the top of the pages more glowy than my previous design. This is a feature that I originally intended to put in the February 1st update, but didn't even have time to get started on. Hopefully, these glows won't distract people from the movies. The site's php script has also been greatly improved, although you won't be able to tell. Finally, I'm making a slight change to my update schedule: I plan to continue updating on the first of each month, but I won't always upload a movie. I want people to be able to check the site on a regular basis, but I also want to give myself enough time to make each movie as good as possible. This change in schedule will allow me to do that, and I've updated the "About Page" to mention this. That said, I'll see you on April 1st!

March 4th, 2008
Sorry I'm so late with this update. I was making the titling in the "TNL Writer's Strike" video as perfect as I could. I've now gotten those credits to the point I want them. I also linked to a video I made in a group with last semester called "Shallow End Inc." In terms of the site, I changed a lot of the php script that runs the site, making the site easier to update on the fly and a lot more "glowy". However, over the course of the month, I began to realize that I'm still learning how long projects take. So what I'll do is continue updating on the first of every month. However, I won't necessarily upload a video every month. I may upload behind the scenes information. I may make major progress in making the site work better. I'll still be constantly working on videos, I've just realized that I'm still learning how long different video projects take, and I'd rather not be forced to sacrifice my standards by rushing out videos. As usual, I appreciate any and all feedback that I can get on my movies.Hopefully, this won't distract from the movies themselves. If the glows do distract from the movies, or if you notice anything whatsoever to improve or adjust in anything, please e-mail so I can make a note of it and possibly change it. That said, I hope to see you all again April 1st.

Sorry, but the next update should come later today. Don't worry, it's almost done.

February 2nd, 2008
Hello everyone, and welcome to Bwsab.com! My plan is to upload at least one video or some other creative product onto the site on the first of each month. Kind of like a web comic, but with fewer comics and more videos. The first creative item is this website itself. Have a look on the "Movies Page" to watch my old video, "Mission: Really Impossible". Reread this information and more on the "About Page". Check out a few of my favorite web sites on the "Links Page". Normally I'd go over all of the changes that I've made since my beta, but there are too many changes to list. If you have any comments about the videos and the site, send me an e-mail at Saib@bwsab.com. I'll post a new video on March 1st and will probably make a few more improvements to the site as well. Thanks for visiting, and I hope to see you again on March 1st!

January 24th, 2008
Movie page has been updated so the movies have icons. True, there's only one movie thus far, but the icon is so much more attractive than plain text. Also, I've added text at the bottom of the screen that tells when the next major update is. Granted, I may tweak the site itself at my leisure various times before that date, but I'll generally release new content only on that date. I also apologize for the "Links" section of the site being currently labeled "Contact". That should be fixed in a day or so. Of course, at the moment, pretty much no one knows that the page exists, so it really doesn't impact anyone. The "content" that's planned for February 1st is really just the day that I hope to have the website polished enough to show people, so there probably won't be much added to my archive on that day. But do expect at least one new piece of content on the March 1st. See ya later!

January 23rd, 2008
Yay! www.bwsab.com is registered, and the site is being tweaked so it can be online! True, it's not quite complete, yet, but it should be complete by my goal/deadline of February 1st. Yay, again!

January 20th, 2008
Whew. Been awhile since I worked on the site. Anywho, here's one of my older movies, "Mission: Really Impossible". Added it to YouTube about a month ago. Hope you enjoy it!

Well, this text is temporary. It isn't really important what it says, now is it? (This was written while I was still working on the site, so I figured it didn't really matter.)
